Looking for a little advice on a schedule to run o my Nuvo 40 that I am setting up. I will be doing all softies and lower light demand coral. I have the light mounted on a gooseneck about 8 inches off the water as well

How are you controlling it? Timer or spectral controller? 10-12hr cycle depending on ramp up and down. You may have to raise it a little to get more coverage, but you might get some spill in the front and back? Color is to your liking and intensity can be from 20-50% to start. I would start on the lower side and work up from there. Your corals will tell you if you have too much or not enough light.
