I have a new 425xl tank (about 3 months). I'm just putting the fish in from qt. I haven't had the lights on yet for any extended period of time.

I have the Kessil 360x blue tuna lights hooked up with the dongle to the Apex. The lights are also plugged into the brick because I had room.

So far running them with the Apex has been a bit flakey. Sometimes they turn on sometimes they don't. For 3-4 days I couldn't get them on, even reset the dongle. Then they just turned on again.

I'm trying to see the advantage of having the Apex control the lights vs just using the Kessil app and let the Apex just control the power.

Anyone have a similar setup that could give some advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for any help

Just run them with the Kessil dongle or get the X spectral controller.

There is no advantage with 360x fixtures to be ran by Fusion.

I have the Dongle and the spectral controller. Is one better than the other?

I just use the X controller, it won't flake out like wifi hardware does.
