Hello All! Any AP700 users have clams under these lights? If you do could you share some information type of clam, intensity of the light, life of clam under the light. Really any information you have would be great. Thanks in advance!

Basically , you want 150 par for 8to ten hours for most clams. Maximas seem more Light greedy. 200+.
On the sand generally. So corals higher up donneed to acclimate and not be lower Light fwiw.

Let’s see if we can find some kessil settings.
@crabs_mcjones

How high above the tank is the light?

Thanks @saltyfilmfolks :D
From what I understand already it is a 48" long tank a 110 gallons but the light is only 8" above the water surface .which isn't going to be enough to cover that area, however, if he keeps the clams and corals near the center of the tank under the light it will work. 60% intensity at that mounting height for a 10 hour cycle.

Im keeping the more demanding coral up high and center of the tank my fleshy coral like acans , shrooms, and eventually scoly and meat coral off to the sides for less light. Plus i love me some rainbow acans and less light less they will change

My two maximas have been thriving under Kessil 160's for over a year one of them pushing 2 years so under a 700 they should be fine.
Can I hijack this and ask what size tank and how long you run the Lights?
% as well.

Blue maxima clam on sandbed of 180g. Been under ap700 x 2 since the unit came out. Total 28 inches away from pucks.

Growth just fine.

I am running a Kessil A360N on my 29 biocube. I have the light ramping up to a max intensity of 65% so far. I moved the clam to center, middle of tank and it's getting the same level of light as some of my SPS and less than others. I hope it colors up at bit as I keep ramping up the light. Results TBD.

Have a small maxima in a 3g pico cube with a kessil a160 that has been growing the past couple months. I have had it on the rock directly below the light maybe 6" total. Run 50-100% for 13hr a day depending on my mood.
