I am new to the reefing community and I am about ready to turn on my lights and start adding coral... that being said I have a 62g tideline with 2 a360xe tuna blue kessil lights. I also have the kessil controller for the lights. Can someone please walk me through what is the best settings to use and how to program it for the light to accommodate my mixed reef? Like a toddler. Timing will be 10am-10pm with ramp up and ramp down.

Thank yall so much! It definitely gave me a good ballpark to play around with. I don't intend on getting any SPS mostly softies and LPS and my rock work doesn't go up too high maybe half way up.

Have fun! Remember slow and steady wins the race!

So just go with what we like basically? I was thinking about doing more white during the day and then more blue in the afternoon till shut off....

Honesty in reefing. Ignore the urge to use the manual spectrum sliders. Kessil, as noted earlier, does a good job of providing a spectrum that will grow corals and look pleasing. That is why they have the two nobs on the top.

One for intensity or power (think 0 - 100%). The other for spectrum. Turning that will shift the array as a unit between a blue or white spectrum. Deep reef or shallow high noon look. You can test it by turning it and see what we mean.

The app, or wired controller, will let you adjust each of the individual 5 channels. Again each channel color from 0 to 100% vs the nob adjusting all. More smooth if you will.

I'm not sure if this is your first tank or stint with the lights but Kessil makes it pretty easy. If you have the wifi dongle or wired controller just use it for the schedule. Time on, ramp up, down, time off. Pretty simple.

These are, of course, just my opinion.
