There are many options for shade cones that will keep the light from spilling. I would definitely go with the a160 or even the a360.Which light would be better for a 15x15x15 reef with soft and lps corals,a80 or a160? I’m worried the 160 would have too much light spillage over the side of the tank.

would that be to concentrated? I did contact kessil and they said the a80 would be fine but I was just curious if anyone had any experience with the particular setup I’m thinking of.There are many options for shade cones that will keep the light from spilling. Same for the 180? I’m trying to keep the cost down. Just getting back into it after been out for about 25 years. A lot has changed, especially the pricing on equipment. No it won’t be to concentrated.
I’d hang an a360 10”-12” above the tank and run the Kessil at 70 intensity and 30 color and red and green at 10.
You could always go with the china version a whole lot cheaper and just as good.Same for the 180? I’m trying to keep the cost down. Just getting back into it after been out for about 25 years. A lot has changed, especially the pricing on equipment.
