I have an AP700 on my tank and there are two options for the lunar cycle moon, red or blue. Is there any notable difference to these two? Downsides to red? I’ve seen where red can have consequences, but I’ve also seen where Kessil just has it figured out and the colors are for aesthetics and not function. . . No definitive answers that I can find re: moon lighting specifically, so I am trying to make sure I don’t mess with the tank too much by using a red moon...

IMHO:
A) Running any moon lighting has virtually no effect on anything in your tank.
B) Red or blue makes no difference.
C) Red is bad only in that it helps grow algae. But the small amount of red as moon light will not allow for photosynthesis, so it isn't helping the algae. Run the red during the day and it will help grow algae.

I'm running into the same issue I like the blue one but the red seems so much less intense. IMO I don't think I can run my tank without a moon light cycle ever again
