I’m new to salt water tanks (came with the house I bought). It appears the tank has bristle worms. They are white. Don’t know if they are bad or good. Any input would be appreciated

Welcome!!!
Let's see this tank! Photos are always fun, and, after all, who doesn't like eye candy?

You'll generally find two camps on bristles. Some say they are fine and are an integral part of the cleanup crew. Others will say they are a nuisance organism and should be removed. Personally, I believe they are a great part of the cleanup crew and have never personally had any issues with them when brushing up against them or negatively impacting my ecosystem. Some people are allergic or find them and the bristles quite annoying. The greatest issue with bristle worms is that once you have them, you're really not going to get rid of them, so embrace their biological technology and the services that they will provide to your tank.

All this being said, it's difficult to know that you have, in fact, bristle worms or some other type of marine worm. Again, photos are always helpful in this case.

Head on over to the "Meet and Greet" forum and introduce yourself. Again, a photo or two of the tank, regardless of the condition that it's in, is appreciated and helps us help you better.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Most consider bristle worms to be a good part of a tank's clean-up-crew, but some don't care for them. I'd leave them, but they can be trapped and removed, or Arrow Crabs eat them.

Just don't touch them, or you find out really quickly why they are called bristle worms (not my pics, but ouch!):
