I already posted this in another thread, but figured I would get a quicker answer in a dedicated thread. I dose dry KNO3 (Potassium Nitrate mixed with RO/DI water) in my planted tank as part of a mix of plant ferts. Can this also be dosed in my reef tank to raise nitrates? Is there any way of knowing how much to start dosing without dosing small amounts and testing daily? I know I will need to test frequently until I get the dose correct but I don't even know where to start. Nitrates have been undetectable in my 105g mixed reef since the tank has been set up (over a year).

Nevermind....answered my own question with a little google research. I didn't realize that KNO3 is what is in stump remover.
