So I have been wanting a small little desktop tank for some time now.. I think it is because I can not see my tank from my office we have at home.
Anywho.. I went and done did it a couple days ago.
My wife has always told me that we do not use the laser cutter for personal stuff.. if you can't make money off of it, then don't turn it on...

Well for a week I have been planing it out and designing the footprint for my desk..
she went to bed and the machine cut out the acrylic in less then 20 min.. dang I love this toy!

next was getting the edges a smooth finish so they can be welded together without any open spots.

Before the welding was the dry fit to make sure everything was correct.. all was so I slapped it together and let it dry. I even added my old tank logo onto it as more of a remembrance from when I built tanks before.. this silly octopus has been with me about 10 years now.

after the Weldon set up and the leak test was done.. it was time to fill the new tank and show it its home.. added some rock I had in the sump, and water from the other tank.
I am running a par38 light, mini canister filter, and no heater as of yet.
it seems that the room i have the tank in does not get below 72 year round.. so for the next week or so I am going to monitor the temp of the water throughout the day.

Glowforge pro. Great toy if you have plans for it, and understand how to design. I have been sitting back watching people chase their tails trying to compete with each other but stealing designs.. if you are creative and can think out of the box.. definitely get one.

Starting to get a good algae growth across the rocks, tossed in a couple snails from my other tank, and looking at ordering some corals soon.
I also pulled a chunk of GSP from my other tank for giggles to watch it cover another rock
