Didn’t notice my DI resin was deleted or the new house has heavy silica water but when I got the ICP test back my silica was at 3900 :oops:

Got a new resin and did a few water changes and it’s going down. Finally getting some GHA in the fuge.

Got a few new additions I’ll post some pics soon!

Picked up a fine looking pintail wrasse a few weeks ago, haven’t seen one this colorful in a while! Eating well and happy as a clam

Beginning of my torch garden! This is a few weeks old, unfortunately the top left one split then died a few days afterwards. Not really sure why water parameters haven’t moved and my other 4 torches are doing great.

My orange shoulder tang got pretty big and I think it’s time to put him in time out. Starting to get aggressive with me and most of the fish. I tried the mirror method and I feel like that made it worse.

Getting a delivery on Wednesday that has a tomini tang and a male+female eight line flasher wrasse.

Thanks I thought so too, and at 150 bucks its rare to seem there at least here in that condition/size

I'll try and get some pics during full spectrum to really show off the colors, still trying to coerce the tang into a trap but he's outwitting me currently :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Orange Shoulder going to the LFS tomorrow, was becoming very aggressive towards the scissortail and pintail, so I wasn't going to risk adding more tank mates with him in the mix.

It's a bummer loved the fish just not the attitude, I plan on getting another one in the future and hopefully get a mellow one.

Trying to come up with some fish stocking ideas.

Leaning towards doing a school of either Dispar or Ignitus anthias just not sure what number I want, maybe 7 or 9?

Anyone else got recommendations?? Open to more fairy/flasher wrasses

Current tank mates:

2 x Orange Storm clowns
3 x PJ cardinals
1 x Scissortail dartfish
1 x Purple firefish
1 x Pintail Wrasse
1 x African Exquisite Wrasse
1 x Lawnmower Blenny

On order:

1 x Tomini tang
2 x Eight line flasher wrasse
1 x Chocolate tang

Been a few weeks but got the hydros controller up and running from Santa!

Did you ever put MP40’s on your tank? I just got the IM200ext and the MP40’s won’t attach. Any suggestions?

No I had them on my old tank and wasn’t a big fan tbh, constant issues for me. I went with 2 gyre 350s on this one and have been loving them so far.

That being said there should be a way to set the spacer for 3/4 glass on the dry side.

Tons of movement and I only have them at 50% right now.

Was able to get my hands on 7 dispar anthias so hoping to add them next week when they ship!

Thinking I am going to go to one of the LFS today and pick up a BTA for the clowns and see if they host it. Saw some fancy strains available but might just stick to a simple rainbow.

Alright was able to grab two for a discount in case the clowns get divorced! Jk they’ll never host anyways always my luck.

Yeah I feel like the MP60 is required, I don't think the 40s can push 6 feet across the tank.

I got the 350s in pulsing mode and water movement is great no dead spots even underneath the arches and caves.

App is a little funky but it does the job

I haven't filled the tank with water yet, but I'm sure you're right once the rocks and corals have started to grow out an MP40 is not going to be sufficient for 6ft across. I have one MP60, and three MP40's. My plan is to put the MP60 on a side panel, towards the front of the tank, and have my three MP40's hidden on the back pane of glass. They blend in nice with the black background. At least that's the plan to start with.
