Krylon fusion help??

Hey how long do I need to let the krylon fusion dry before it's safe it's safe for the aquarium I'm going to be painting some eggcrate need answers asaP as I plan on starting the project tonight!:ooh:

I would wait at least 48 hours if you plan on submerging it, just to be safe. 24 hours is probably OK, but IMO better safe than sorry.

+1 to what stunreefer said. I've put smaller painted frag racks in my display after 24 hr, but waiting 48 hr would probably be better. Particularly for larger painted items.

I prefer to just use black eggcrate. It's available from BRS and it doesn't grow snot algae like the white stuff.

How did this work out for ya? Curious as I'd rather not have to spend $20 to get some black shipped to me since only white is available locally.

I'm still trying to find out if this will stop or prevent the algae growth, painting it that is!

I just painted some as well, haven't put in tank though. It came from a reco from some local reefers, they don't have the algae issues any longer that they had with white eggcrate.

Yep, but not with eggcrate. I painted some PVC for inside a tank a couple times. It sat out for about a week before it was in use, but I would've been comfortable using it sooner.
