Haven’t been on the forums much lately but figured I’d provide a build update. Currently battling aiptasia and bubble algae so that hasn’t been fun but the corals look like they’re starting to settle in. I’ve noticed quite a bit of growth the last few weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed I win the battle against the nems and bubble algae. I still have the itch for a larger tank but not sure it’s going to happen anytime soon

Big day today. Haven’t really been digging the scape on the right side of the tank so I think I’m going to play around with it and move some corals around. Current placement is creating a lot of dead space so I want to move things around in an effort to fill it in better

Some new photos after changing things around. Most of my stuff seems to be doing very well. I have two gonis that have been closed for months now but don’t seem to be receding. I also have some JF Fairy Tales which seem to be quite finicky. Outside of that I’m very happy with how everything is growing. Even my SPS seem to be recovering!

Had a mini flood today. While I was downstairs my dosing tube disconnected and started siphoning out of my tank and onto the floor. Luckily I went upstairs before cutting the grass otherwise things would have been a lot worse.

I reorganized again and I’m super happy with everything. I still have one or two coral placements to work out but I think everything is looking good so far. Really hoping my two monti frags make a come acm

Tank looks great. Looks like you’ve got a nice Zoa collection too.
Thank you! I lost a few LPS from an alk spike and most of them are still recovering. I’m actually in the process of setting up another small tank that’s going to focus on higher end zoas and acans. Looking forward to keeping the collection growing in this tank

Man sucks losing stuff. I’ve had my fair share of losing quite a few chalices and acans. Lol ive got the same tank and it’s going to be centered around higher end zoas and shrooms.

It’s a great tank! I’m going to gear this one towards strictly softies and gorgs. I’ll probably throw in a pair or two of seahorses and then I’ll move my nicer LPS into the 10g once it’s ready

It’s been a while since my last update. Things are starting to recover from an alk spike a few weeks back. Looking forward to adding more stuff soon. Still working out placement of some corals.

You also might notice a few corals missing. I’ve transferred them into a new 10g tank I started. Still undecided if I’m going to do a build thread of not.

The ARC live sale is coming up and supposedly there will be a lot of new corals going up. Going to hopefully grab a few things, mainly Palys and favias. Also looking at Acans as well. For fillers I’m planning on getting some gorgs and maybe one or two softies.

Looking good! How's the battle with aiptasia and bubble algae coming along ?
The Aiptasia were gone but started popping back up. I’ll probably order some more berghias soon. I’m thinking I might have a few in the back chambers which allowed them to repopulate. The bubble algae is still there but doesn’t seem to be exploding just yet. I still need to test nutrients but I’ve been doing water changes more frequently. With many of my corals recovering, and adding a few more, I’m hoping they can start to out compete the bubble algae

Got a bunch of goodies from ARCs live sale over the weekend. Going to pick them up later in the week. After that, I’ll only have room for a select few pieces so I’ll have to start being a little more picky.

In the meantime, I decided to take my other tank in a different direction. I think I’m going to go for SPS. I’ll be moving a couple corals back to this tank until I change my mind again lol
