Labropsis polynesica $2.4K???

Just came across this if you happen to be looking for one...
Is this really that rare of a fish that is demands $2,400.00?

I would pick it up dependent upon its demeanor and size. I wouldn't pay more than $75 for it though :)

Exactly; an obligate corallivore. The whole Labropsis genus is.

So unless you are willing and prepared to feed it corals the rest of it's life, it doesn't belong in your tank.

No, it doesn't look that great. I like black tangs but I think they even cost too much at $800.

It is funny how pricing works when a fish is rare....some of the most colorful fish are damsels but they are so cheap because they are plentiful. Yet like Cleo stated, people will pay 800+ for an all black fish lol.

I was assuming we were just voting based on looks. I think it looks bad butt, like a Marianas Trench kind of fish.

My opinion, the black tangs look cooler than that wrass and thankfully they don't eat coral.
