I'm kind of new to this site. My name is Landon and I currently have a 55 gallon DT with a 29 gallon refugium and a 5 gallon protein skimmer sump. I have been in reef keeping since July 2011. My tank is SPS dominant, has several zoas, some LPS, and four anemones.

I have decided to enter this contest with a small 5 gallon nano tank. It is nothing special at the moment but I plan for it to have several SPS and zoas. My filtration consists of a HOB protein skimmer and live rock and live sand in the tank, my live rock and live sand will come from my main display. I can also use some filter floss if I need to. I may add a power filter if I need more flow. I will be using a DIY LED light fixture from Rapid LED. It will be the same kind as what I have on my main tank. My aqua scape will most likely change, I just need to buy a few small peices of rock.

Sorry for the fuzzy pics.

You can see where the tank is in relation to the rest of my system.

Thanks Wysiwyg, I will be stocking it mostly with stuff from my larger system. I hope I can maintain SPS in this system. I have already decided to add a 1 gallon refugium to hide the heater, help with nutrient export, and counter act any ph swings at night.

Time for an update:

I added some rock from my display and made a sump out of a one gallon hex tank.

This is the new aquascape and you can see the sump behind the tank.

These are some corals that I will be using from my main display.

Green palys: Main colony, I have a single polyp frag ready for the nano

Thanks, I got my LEDs running at about 10:57 which would have been 11:57 for your time. I cut it very close. I have another pic a lid and my name be cause I didn't want people to think that the giant lid was hidding some corals! lol

Ok, I now have corals and a fish in my nano. I have a small kenya tree (I mean SMALL!!!- like 1/3 an inch), and a small colony of green and yellow zoas( about 25+ heads). I also have a small blenny. It is about 1 and 1/2 inches long. I will get some pics tomorrow when the lights are on.

How is the nano going? Any pictures to share of the livestock?

Here you go Barb. Sorry that I haven't put any more pics up until now, I've been preocupied that last couple of weeks.

These pics were taken with a blackberry , please forgive me for the poor quality pics.

This is my blenny.

This is a full tank shot. I had just cleaned the glass so my corals were a little un happy. Some of my zoas have already grown off of the frag pug and onto my rocks.
