Finally got some new shots! Everything is looking great, got away from yesterday's meet with only a little orange plate, lol. Today a friend gave me pink chalice and bird of paradise birdsnest frags! In the actinic only shots, I had given away a few extra pieces so I have a tiny bit more room.. can't really tell. This week I'll try to work on the scape. I've been fussed at for my red monti placement, so going to have to move it lower and toward the back somewhere... hmmm.

Wow, thank you! It means a lot any time I can inspire someone! What size tank are you thinking about? :)

Originally was going to do a Nanocube. However I love the dimensions of the 20L so I am going that route. Not to mention seeing so many cool 20L reef setups.

I'm also wondering what bulb combination you're running on your tank? I've ordered the same fixture to go over my tank but those surely aren't the stock bulbs? The colors look amazing.

I'll have to check for sure when I get home but I believe the bulbs are 1x10k daylight, 1xfiji purple, 2xactinic plus. The actinics are old and need to be replaced, so the color will probably shift a bit towards blue when I replace them.

This pic is EPIC!!!!
Thanks, it was a very lucky shot!

I'll post new tank shots soon :)

Yikes, sorry to hear the tank is crashing! :(
I've never used a canister filter before but I've heard you have to clean them often.

The ac110 actually plays no part in filtration. It simply adds to the water volume, increases flow, and holds the heater. I may add chaeto and make a fuge out of it, but it holds no mechanical or chemical filtration.

I always keep my tanks as simple as possible, utilizing the natural filtration of LR, LS, and water changes.
