Large Blue jaw trigger

I have a large (7 inch) male blue jaw in my reef they has recently eaten my cleaner shrimp. Understandable I guess despite coexisting for 2 years. However he also decided to eat a pink sea cucumber that has been in the reef for3 years too! Has anyone had similar issues?
