Good morning my fellow reefers
Allow me to introduce my Fiji Foxfaces that are ready to go. In this video, you will see them eating New Life Spectrum Probiotix Pellets. This fish is well recognized by its striking black, white and yellow coloration. Its easy to miss the intricacies on their faces so I took some up close pics for you guys. They are stunning. If you purchase this fish you must be careful when working in your tank because of their venomous spines. They are about 6 inches. Click to see Foxfaces eating
For educational purposes: Like all rabbitfish. They have 13 spines and 10 soft rays in the dorsal fin while the anal fin has 7 spines and 9 soft rays. The fin spines hold the venom glands. They make great tankmates because most fish leave them alone. They like their rock structures. I have no problems with them but I am very cautious. I hear the stings are quite painful, often described as a bee sting but it hurt more and the pain can last several hours and the rashes about two day.
Don’t get scared away lol I am dramatic but with me its always full disclosure.
Please do not place this fish in an aquarium less than 125 gallons for their safety and wellbeing.
