I’m not sure if I should add any additional fish to my tank. It’s a 90 gal display 46x22x21. Here’s what I have so far:

2 clowns
2 mandarins
1 Midas blenny
1 Japanese swallowtail angel
3 barnacle blennies (these guys are so small, and won’t get much bigger)

I was thinking maybe one more fish - a whitetail bristletooth. But I’m afraid that may be one fish too many. I’m not a fan of rehoming, which I may have to do with the angel someday. Thoughts?

i think you're fine with adding another fish, my reefer 250 (60 gallon water volume including sump) has 7 medium/small fish at the moment and i used to have 9, haven't run into overcrowding issues or nutrient issues, and if you're rehoming the angel in the future i wouldn't worry about it.

I think you’re good to add a whitetail bristletooth tang to what you’ve already got. It will like end up being the biggest fish in there but they are pretty docile and shouldn’t be a problem. Does your tank have swimming room or is it piped up with rock and coral?

Lots of room to swim. The angel seems to enjoy swimming through the caves and around the rocks. Not many corals yet. It will be mostly LPS.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
