Boy oh boy, my lawnmower blenny scared the crap out of me last night. As of right now he is the only fish in my tank and i thought i was safe to do some cleaning and maintenance. Boy was i wrong. I recently sold my 65 gallon and bought a 35 cube. Needed to down grade. But anyway, he was never mean and left me alone in the other tank. But after he bit me the first time last night he wont let my hand in the tank. Him or some hermits knocked over a monti frag and my zoe frag. I need to fix. Both out of light. I guess its time to get forceps huh?!?! Does anyone else have a crazy lawnmower blenny!?!? Lol he is about, 3 to 4 inches.

I had a mean large female clownfish that would bite my hand when I put my hand in the tank to move frags around.

I ended up having to use a net with my other hand to keep a barrier between my hand and the mean fish

My dot dash blenny bites me occasionally. I think he thinks I'm dirty.

I've only had female clowns bite me but while diving I've had triggers bite coming out of no where. That and cleaner wrasses taking pecks at earlobes.

My nine inch vlamingi tang bites me every time I feed. My B&W clowns bite me every time I go near their anemones. My five inch foxface has got me before. While most fish hid when they see you or your hand goes in the tank, I think its pretty normal for most fish to do this, you tend to get use to it after some time.

That is unusual for a Blenny to bite. I've had other fish bite me before, I even have an aggressive Fairy Wrasse that bites me but never a blenny. Goes to show you, never say never:rolleyes:

Had a Lawnmower and peaceful. On the other hand my current Starry blenny is fiesty- will bite my arms when I try to put up a frag or a snail that he knocks down. He is about 3 inches long. I'm planning to catch him and send it back to LFS.

I love lawnmowers, i have another smaller one in my 20 long tank. They are awesome fish to have. I put them in early for that algea bloom stage and they always take care of it. But this guy is telling me its his tank. Lol. Like i said he is the only fish in there till i get a pair of clowns. Its going to be anemone clown heaven. [emoji56]

We have one that attacks my husband anytime his hand goes near the water. Haha, it’s become a game to see how quick he can get the maintenance done.. the Blenny wins every time 😂🤣
