Hey! Quick question..

I have a pair of Maroon Clowns that I got a while ago that were laying eggs for the guy.

I had them maybe 6 months and they laid a bunch of eggs. JUST THAT ONE TIME?? What is up with that? Everything is the same, no change is feeding, etc. Any advice to get the "going" again? :o)

Mike

are they alone in the tank? whats your temp? i got mine in a breeding setup and they are like rabbits.. mine hatch every 6 days and they lay every 9.
i have my temps at 84, and i feed them like 5x a day with frozen and pellets. mine are all alone in their chamber with a clay pot.

Are you wanting to breed them? Are they in a dedicated tank?

Most likely they will start again. Ive seen them stop just from moving a piece of furniture in the same room their tank is in. It took mine three months to start again after I added the tile for them to lay on.

Gotta get the temp up over 81. Mine is at 84. Light cycle for 12 hours and feed them like 4 times a day. That will help alot to restarting them.
My gsm will lay like crazy for months then they will take a month off. Mine are beasts and lay massive nests.
