Leaking Downpipe

hello all,

My downpipe (Durso, corner overflow) is leaking from the INSIDE. I don’t know where it is coming from, so I am looking to see if anyone has any ideas. My tank was off long enough to “settle” and it was still leaking.

Possibly the gasket has gone bad, how old is the tank? First thing I’d try is re tighten it.

I made it a little tighter when before I posted this, and that didn’t help. Would a bad gasket leak inside the pipe? I thought that would only leak outside and drip down? @Reef Jedi

Is this an emergency drain? The only way i could see water coming down the inside is to enter through the opening on the tank side. Maybe show the tank side of the system to see if someone can help out.

looks like dripping on outside of bulkhead, may want to remove bulk,clean inside glass ,reset, possibly add new gasket if needed.

No, I only have 1 drain and 1 return on the tank

So dripping on the underside (dry side) and leaking into the middle? I can’t remember how it was when I put it in, but I thought that was a singular piece all the way to the bottom. The outside of the downpipe is dry

I took it out and cleaned the gasket, and it is all good now, it was in good shape. There must have been some debris stuck in there or I didn't tighten it enough when I undid it a few weeks ago. Thank you
