Leather coral brown at base

My coral has brown at base, seems to be shrinking some. Anything to worry about? This crab just went on it. Sorry for the bad picture.

Now that the crab has moved off of the coral, would you mind using a filter or turning lights to white and taking another photo?

I had to scroll back and look through photos of my own leathers. In my opinion, this looks to be a normal hardening of the base. It's also present on my softies.

Ok, I appreciate it. Just not trying to lose more coral if I can prevent it.
