I had a Weeping Willow Leather for about 2 months. One day it just closed and never reopened.... eventually just shriveled and died. I still have it but pretty sure it's a goner. I have other leathers, many other corals ....all thriving ... The only change was I added a refugium that dropped my nitrates down under 2 from around 40. No fish in this tank. Two cleaner shrimp that breed and release larva every 10-12 days. Lots of copepods and other live foods. Phosphate also very low. Temp 78F ...pH 8.0-8.1. Everything looks great. Just this leather went from looking very healthy to a total disaster. I understand that this happens unexplainably sometimes...just thought I'd reach out to see if anyone else had similar experience.
