leather coral looking like crap

i have a leather coral i have had about two weeks. looked great for a 2 days and as of late it has gone downhill. it doesnt sing and has no signs of rotting away.

Try giving it more flow, if it does not improve in 3-4 days do a dip and try different placement. The corals needs flow to shed the waxy coating that develops on it's surface. Until that coating comes off the coral will not open.

Always trouble shoot water chemistry as well.

i have it in a moderate flow spot. i did a dip a couple days ago in an iodine and ro soulution then in a coral rx dip. i tried mid tank to low light

Last image looks like the coral is trying to open. Leathers can stay closed quite awhile. As posted previously, Sarcophyton will not open until it sheds the waxy coating.

I had someone tell me that the whits spots on it is where the coral is dead and starting to rot. But it doea not have the death rot smell and it is not falljng apart. Sjould I let it go or frag it up
