I got this leather 3 weeks ago and he was in a tank with an rose bubble tip anemone. I got both the leather and the anemone in my tank now and I saw the anemone sting the leather and so I moved him away from her. The spot turned brown and now this is happening!
should I just cut away the bad portion? Leave it alone?

I would leave it be for now, give the coral good flow and water quality.

Sarcophyton are very resilient, a coral that does not like to be moved or messed with, but with patience recovers very nicely.

When my Sacrophyton looked peaked I would take a turkey baster and blow off any detritus, algae and dying tissue and then just leave the coral be.
