Guys,
I’m interested in finding out how long you go without interfering with your tank
Besides feeding of course

I’ll kick this off , I’m on every other day because the glass needs cleaning and the filter wool changing

I upgraded this tank from a smaller one about 4 weeks ago. I TRY to be as hands off as possible, but my tank is like a magnet that I just can’t resist! I do something with it at least every other day, whether it NEEDS it or I just want to tinker. I’m hoping that this compulsion will start to wane as the tank matures.

Just depends for me, sometimes I’ll go a couple days, sometimes it can be weeks (when I’m on vacation)

It won’t :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

It will only get worse because you’ll have more livestock to manage and “tinker” with lol.

When I first started a reef tank it was 2-3 hours tinkering with things. Now a days barely do 2-3 hours of anything with the tank. I usually go a week or two with out cleaning the glass. Unless someone else is coming over, then it gets cleaned lol. The only other time I do anything to the tank is when I need to frag something, siphon the sand, do a water change, or test the tank.

Every other day since it’s a relatively new build.

I think it’s a delicate balance of figuring out when to leave stuff be or intervene for me.

Always have that voice in the back of my head telling me if you move that frag or chance the flow it’ll grow faster
