I've had a large Red Anemone, with 2 clowns in a 40 gal breeder for the past 1.5 - 2 years. I've got a big 225G tank that I bought from my neighbor, they were in that tank. I haven't had the time to set the 225 up, so put them in the smaller tank. They've been doing really well - have been dealing with cyno and GHA from the beginning - but the rocks came with it and it's tough to manage in a 40G breeder.

That said - I'd like to put a slim LED (2 strips of white, one blue) on top instead of the two T5/T8 fixtures I have now. Any thoughts on whether I need to acclimate the anemone to the LEDs?

I don’t think so.

The good/bad news with nems is that they move to find the best spot. If it moves lower in the tank and stays there for a few days you’ll know it’s looking for less light and vice versa.
