Considering the size of the bar, and the number of LEDs placed on it, it's fine for this application. I wouldn't recommend using this approach for a primary lighting setup though.

How long term do you want? I have my 4g Finnex running for over a year now on LEDs. The 40B has been lit by LEDs now for a number of months.

Sick, I was wondering when the 40b was gonna get some LED love. Shoot me some vids and specs when you get a chance. I'm still working on my 4 foot project, coming along nice. Debating on hydro cooling it.
