Just wondering if anyone has reduced the light duration in a sps tank to combat sps tip burn in a ULN versus dropping alk below 8. Ive been out for a while so sorry if this has been addressed

My acro tank has always been ULN naturally not by choice and i just dosed N and P as needed to stay above zero. I've not experienced burnt tips. I keep my alk 8-9 usually mid 8. I've actually been increasing my lights and acros have responded well.
I started dosing ammonium over a month ago and am seeing good results as far as NO4 and PO4 level. I just posted some info in my acro tank thread thread below. Post #19 has some info and test results if you want to take a look.

Thanks for the info! I was running an ATS went ULN but had problems with faded sps colors, I dosed nitrate and it did help but some of the acros reacted oddly to it
