I have a little 5 gal tank coming for use as a frag QT but I will need a light for it. The display area will only be about 12x10x8.

Cost is not the only factor, I also don’t want a huge light on such a small tank. The AI prime seems to have the best following but might literally be overkill.

I have looked at the AI Prime, Kessil A80, Fluval Nano Sea and Nicrew HyperReef 30w but I’m not sure if any of these are ideally suited. The one that looks best to me for my application might be the Fluval, but it doesn’t have very good reviews.

Is there anything else I should consider for this tiny tank? It will only have have simple frags (gsp/Zoas/Ricordeas) and a couple of LPS at most.

Thanks

AI or Kessil. You can dial em down. Cheap can end up costing you more and light and flow are something you don't want to cheap out on when it comes to corals, even in a QT.
