Hey guys. Quick question. I have a lot of corals now and they seem to be doing pretty well with my AI hydra LEDs. They have a UV setting which is 400nm. What does this uv light do or supposed to do? And what intensity should I have it at ? Thanks people !!

Corals utilize the uv spectrum for growth. It also helps make them fluoresce a bit more imo. I run my tank with my uv's at 40%.

The 410 to 420nm is really Violet or Hyper Violet not UV. Back in the day we used 110watt 420nm Actinic VHOs to cover this spectrum.

Given the Hydras limited number of these LEDs I would run them at 100% for maximum colour pop.

They are not as powerful as the 450-460nm so the Royal Blue provides most of your growth.
