Am taking apart this fixture to replace some LEDs and it looks different to me than many of the boards where the soldered connections are pretty obvious about where to heat them up to replace the diodes. Can someone take a look at this and let me know what I am seeing? The pics are both sides of the board. These welds look like they are done by a machine…. and the light currently works fine - just is old and wanting to update the spectra a bit.

I can include better photos but I am not sure where to begin….

It looks like a single PCB laminated to a licence plate. Like you said, likely done by a machine. Anyway, you'll have to remove a lens to see the connections (the whole black cylinder). Not my fault if you break it. :p

If it's a Mars Aqua they pull straight off.
Not a Mara Aqua, and looks like they are glued down. I took one off - NBD. kinda looks like silicone being used. And how nice! Even the poles are labeled on the board. Now I see what I am doing. Does anything look weird about this? Just heat up the solder per usual? 0A43CA08-A451-4A8B-9926-398DAD85E05B.jpeg

Hard part is if the center is soldered to the board.
The 2 " wings" are easy.

Don't expect to get them off in one piece.
Typically the 2 wings are desoldered and lifted.
Body can then be twisted off.

You will need to use thermal compound on the centers of new diodes.

Yea lenses look to be glued down with silicone.

With luck so are the diode centers.

So my LEDs showed up - but not sure if these are able to be used since the physical form factor is different: Any advice?

Try this.
3w , no circuit board.
You are the best! (And apparently know everything about LEDs ;)) It seems every time I pull up an LED topic on here I see you responding. Thanks for being so helpful to all of us…
