I have seen some of your threads wondering how to do homemade LED stuff and I ran across this item and wondered what you thought you might could do with it if anything.

Well alot of japanese tanks use different colored spots to bring out colors out of certain corals. Example:They use red especially on birdsnest and pink stylos. Thats why there pictures look photoshopped because the light makes them look nicer.

personaly I think that would be a great cheap light for a colum or hex tank but not very effective on a long tank I will admit in my experiement with led it did give that simmer effect of mh lighting

sadly, i don't have them hooked up at the moment......hopefully i will one day though...lol at the moment i don't have anywhere to plug them in.

i used to have them hooked up on my nano tanks, but i took them off after moving several times.

i was using the 3-LED dome's......and for $5/each, you really can't go wrong by trying a few out. just gota wire them up to a transformer and plug in the wall.
