Confusion on the Diesel front.

Jumping both feed into some nems but the Diesel engine is sputtering on the confusion between some of them.
Clarification is a must before the jump.
What is what............

Is this a Lemon Drop..........

Quite often vendors etc who don't know the identity of their stock (or maybe they do), will list them with a fantastically awesome name in order to attract more sales. Other times, they have no clue so they make up a name. Some don't realize that most creatures are not clones and so, come in many variations of color, shape, texture, size or morphs etc of the same item. This renaming is so confusing that it seems like we all need to have complete lab set-ups just to figure out the true identity of our tank denizens. We try to take care of our livestock according to their personal needs and if they are mislabeled, it could spell disaster to it, the other tank inhabitants or ourselves. Drives you nuts sometimes. Sheesh.

I don't have a problem with people naming color morphs I just wish (especially with SPS) that taxonomic names were much more prevalent. Call it whatever you want, but give me the genus and species name please. That's equally if not more important information, to some of us, than just the cool kid name! (Which I also like, but for different reasons ;))

It's mind blogging as we speak.
Hard to find a good source, locally I have seen in the last month ppl selling Inferno's and sunburst but they are really hyped up rainbows.

YES! This is a very real problem ESPECIALLY with regard to lemon drop nems right now. I would definitely find someone who knows about both look and lineage before pulling the trigger.

I wish we sold them mainly on species names instead of their hype names. it would cost a lot less and people would know more. The BTA's are all Entacmaea quadricolor (: I'm having a hard time finding the rare colors too. If anyone has a source please share.

I have no problem to put down the asking $$$$ as long it doesn't is a fake.
And believe me I'm not in this to splice it up in pieces like someone did locally and keeping a waiting list.
I have a whole cube full of inferno's and sunbursts.
They just screaming for a lemon...........

Here in Houston we have a few threads going that ppl looking for these and I can sure sell a few but that just is a shame as they are brother and sisters and you just don't break up a family, now do you?
BTW, this is a 60 cube in my frag room in the garage, when I have ppl over to pick up some stupid SPS  they always drool on my floor when they see this tank, especially when I wipe the 4 weeks of algae of the glass.

I've been wanting to set up a tank similar to this at some point for nems, I'll have to pick your brain a little when the time comes!

The first picture is a lemon drop. Second pic is what most would refer to as a sunburst. I figure that you already knew that though.
