My buddy has had one for a year or so now, but yes, they are testy fish to keep and keep eating. I'd look into one of the flashers, IMO, hardier but LOVE to carpet surf

I've had one for over a year. This thing eats EVERYTHING I throw in the tank, from the veggie clip to shrimp and squid. He hunts for pods when I'm not feeding and goes to bed faithfully at 7:30pm every night. He's got a good demeanor and very personable.

So far out of all the fish I've had this one is the nicest most productive and active fish. I'm researching now to see what other smaller wrasses can I place in the tank that's capable to this one.

Chaoti wrasse is super sweet, but they can be tough to keep though. I really enjoy watching their movement. Both of mine are constantly hunting.

It is THE toughest leopard to keep, and can be very sensitive to any changes which may induce stress.

Once you get them well adjusted to captivity and prepared foods, they can be somewhat hardy, but getting them to this point can be a real challenge.

For those which are wondering about compatibility, you might find this helpful: All About Reef Safe Wrasses - 3reef Reef Aquarium Forum

Both of my chaoti wrasses have different personality actually. One is very warm to me and won't go hiding when I do WC or rearrange the LR, but it just won't eat pellets. The other will go hiding when I do WC but it does eat pellets lol.
