No,
Just get them eating and they will be happy

I bought mine at a fish store already eating. Never looked back. They need sand to sleep in. I ordered one online and it was basically doa. Died the next morning. They’re notoriously difficult shipper so pay a little more for one that’s already settled in at your LFS if you can.
