Lepto vs Acro--who's going to win?

I have a jason fox jacko-o-lantern leptoseris that has escaped its rock and spread onto the surrounding area. What will happen when it runs into an acro colony?

I have had this happen with montipora vs acropora and I don't want to revisit that issue again. I ultimately epoxied over the montis to eliminate the turf warfare. Although the montis would lose the battles, they were relentless and likely to win the war ( die back, regrow over dead growth, die back,, and on and on until they started building a wall to climb over) And yes I favor acro over montis, everyone has their favorites.

Anyway any thoughts or experience about how this may play out with lepto vs acro

lepto has sweepers it can put out to start killing a coral before it actually reaches it I say lepto, an had my wwc toxic run into a mistic sunset and a tort but with both it killed some tissue then both gave up in growing in that direction so nothing bad came of it

My bigger piece of jackolantern has pale patches that I thought were some problem until I looked when the lights were off. It extends small sweepers out of those patches when the lights are off. I wouldn't be so certain the Leptoseris will lose.

Thanks for the input , I think I may put a stop to the lepto's wanderings off its rock before I spot stingers out at nite on the hunt

surprised that your lepto is growing where acros grow. From my experience, it grows best in low light/opposite of acro prime location.

Lay down some epoxy in the lepto's path. Once it encrusts over, pop off the epoxy and repeat. Bonus frags in the process. :)
