Leptoseris problem

Can anyone help with a problem Ive been having with my golden Leptoseris? As in the picture below, a pale milky coating is draped across certain parts of the coral (especially the top) and has been there for a couple months. The tissue appears to be alive beneath it. I am unable to scrape it off. No die-back has occurred but the discoloration remains. Anyone have any experience with that? No other issues in the tank. Parameters stable. I use kalkwasser. My other corals appear normal although growth is slow. I have a Peacock mantis shrimp and a few dwarf cerith snails in the tank, a 20 gallon long.

How is the flow over it? Sounds like it's trying to slime off detritus.

Yeah that's what I thought it was too, but it doesn't seem to be slime. It resists being scraped off. The flow in the tank is strong, maybe 2000gph total.

One additional detail, I tried to blow a jet of water over the coral with a syringe to remove it and instead more of the chalky white residue immediately showed up. At first I thought I had blasted the outer coral tissue off, but when I look closely it actually seems like the usual wrinkled Leptoseris tissue is still there beneath the white residue.

I've had that happen after using m.b clean and other bacteria products, you didn't by chance use any bacteria products?

nope, no bacteria products…. all i have used is acro power amino acids. No other dosing.
