I would say it's still female, but is about to begin it's transition.Curious on the sex of this C. jordani. Sold as a female, but the head markings and the deep yellow look to be closer to the male colors. Im assuming this is transitional, but having never owned one before, wanted another opinion.

Look like a Sunset Wrasse, sometimes called Green Moon Wrasse.
This guy did not want to hold still for a second. He was labeled as a Lime Wrasse but when researching I could only find a Lime Green Wrasse and this guy wasn't that green. He was very pastel with almost faded colors. If you can help that would be great but I understand the pictures are not that great.

It is an initial phase male cf. lanceolatus. It is starting to develop patterning on the tail, though it hasn't really developed the lanceolate tail, which will continue to develop as it matures.Would love some input on my pintail wrasse. I have had this one for a while and love it (it rid my tank of a nasty amphipod infestation where all other wrasses had failed), but I could never decide if it was a juvenile/transitioning male or a female. Just assumed juvenile male. I just picked up a terminal male though, and don't want to keep them together if it will cause issues.
The following genera don't bury: Wetmorella, Pseudocheilinus, Pseudocheilinops, Cirrhilabrus, and Paracheilinus.
Yeah, males of the same species can be problematic together. Keeping them in separate tanks is probably best.
Looks to be a male Cirrhilabrus filamentosus, whipfin fairy wrasse, quite possibly the nastiest, most aggressive fairy wrasse out there.Any ID on this guy?
