found out a bit more and that it came from a kenyan shipment. almost sure its a Kwazulu wrasse or c. africanus. anyone know what the compatibility would be like with other wrasse??
Yes, C. africanus. All the juvies/females in the rubriventralis complex have those stripes.
Bruce is spot on with everything he said about scottorum.

It's a male Mckoskers wrasse, Paracheilinus mckoskeri. If the tail is black it is from Africa.

Was called a Red Fairy in the shop - what say you?

Not an ID question, but what are the going rates for Cirrhilabrus naokoae nowadays?

Can anyone tell me what she is? Sold as a “common” fairy wrasse. I’ll get better pics once she’s in the tank.

Should have posted this here initially. I believe it's some type of fairy but the owner had no idea what it was. Bluish purple fins and underside, grayish head turns pink towards the tail.

Appears to be a young male Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura, blue sided fairy.
