Lets play a game.....GUESS THE FISH!

So, I bought a new little friend a few days ago from a LFS.

He (I call him "Coop") was sold as a Yellow Boxfish. This fish is legit, a baby. He is about the size of your thumbnail.

Due to his size, he's living in my mangrove tank - till he's big enough to join the main tank.

Baby boxfish & cowfish look almost identical...but obviously, as the cowfish grows - the horns come in. Now, this guy does have the spots of a boxfish, but I also think I see little nubs....horns.

What are your thoughts?

Without a doubt, that’s a cowfish, most likely a long horn but the species will be clearer as it ages.

I would vote for cowfish also based on the tail size

Sooo darn cute! Cow or Box fish, I’ve had both but hard for me to tell
