Let's see them grafted sticks...

I've always been curious to try grafting because I used to do it with plants- but this isn't done the same way?


I was figuring taking two identical species and splicing them together (similar to how plants are done.) Is this just going to end up with dead sticks? Still tempted to try anyways, need another tort...

These are not plants, you can't graft them like plants. The graft is more of an infection in some cases and mutation in others.

So no you can't just create a new tort.

Well you can try but I bet I know the outcome... ;)

Never gonna work kelby... A graft is actually a infection poletti has had multiple pieces graft in his tank and he got rid of them including a chalice...:( I always thought it was cool but to each there own..;)

Yes,I know it is an infection. I guess im like you,I think grafted corals are awsome! and we all know I would flip at a grafted chalice!!!

How do you go about doing this?

I have some SPS that have grown together naturally, but no luck with the corals adopting the others color. I had a orange monti and Idaho purple doing this, the Idaho is clearly causing the other coral to bleach at the contact area.

Did that green coral just give me the finger?
