45gallons.

Float switch from skimmer have turn it off.
Could be 1hrs ago or 24hrs...

Tank, fish and coral OK.
Can't find the dead body 🫤 ... but i saw a peace going in the flow.

skimmer going nut !
I added carbon in filter sock.
On the way to do 10 gallons "wet skim" water change.

Any bad experience with a dead lettuce sea slug ?

I have had them spontaneously decay and the carcass stunk rigorously enough to trigger a violent gag reaction that almost doubled the tank pollution load. The tank didn't suffer much.

Get some rest and sleep well. In the morning take a look and see if you can find anymore chunks floating around. Remove them carefully and keep them down wind and down low until you get them out of the house.

Elysia eats briopsis primarily (exclusively?) and they actually do something neat with it later on where they recycle the chlorophyll and feed photosynthetically. They need macro-suitable lighting.

They've very vulnerable to being torn up by tankmates and powerheads.

Lettuce slugs i dont recall being that much of a nutrient bomb when they die? They don't have the same ink and toxins of other nudibranch, particularly sea hares.

____

Side note, stench contest goes to starfish, absolutely rancid when they melt in the water.

1 week later...
I never found the body...

Like nothing happen.

Lesson learn.
Slug aren't for my tank.
