I need a rather inexpensive light prefer LED for my new frag tank I'll be putting up soon, any suggestions?

24" tek T5 light. I believe they come in 8 bulbs but I had one on my frag tank that was 4 bulbs. Awesome light!

I would think a Kessil 150 would be about right for that tank and look great.

Halide 250w Phoenix 14K you will love the color, O are you doing
Sps?

I had a kessil 150 on a 14 gallon biocube for a short period of time. Visually the tank was very dim. I didn't keep it long enough to know how the coral would react though.

I measured PAR from the new coral Complusion 40w PAR38 with 60 degree lenses (so it was a bit more powerful than a 30w Kessil 150), and PAR was good in the center, but abysmal on the edges of the tank. Lights like that are not meant to light a 24"x24" area, 18"x18" at the most.

If you can solder, you can build a mini 'evil cluster' like I had set up as a test over my 30g frag tank like yours. PAR was insane at 24" off the top of the tank, and spread was awesome. Cost less than $200 for the parts, IIRC.

Beat me to it, was going to say that new PAR bulb or evil cluster....

Kessil A350W. I used to run two on my 60 gal, upgraded tanks and went with a different route but I still run one 350w over my frag setup
