I am in the process of setting up my 375 gallon reef. I found a 150 gallon aquarium (24"x48"x30") for a great price so drilled this and plan on using it for my refugium. This will be triton method so water will enter the fuge from a herbie style overflow. This will then spill over into the sump which is a 125 gallon tank. I was trying to decide which light would be best for a fuge this size to maximize algae growth. Mt goal is to be able to run the light 12-14 hours day with overlapping photo period with my tank to minimize pH swings as well as have continuous nutrient export. I don't want my algae growth to be limited by too little light. On the other hand I don't want to photo inhibit but over illuminating the fuge. So in peoples experience which option below would be my best bet?
My current options are:
1. Kessil H160 Flora grow light
2. Kessil H380 Flora grow light

Thanks,

What size will the fuge chamber be? I have an H380 and absolutely love it.

The fuge will be the full 24x48x30 tank.
Definitely going to want to go H380, and to cover 48" you may need two as it has a recommended spread of 24" at 3' deep at 2 feet off the waters surface. I'd recommend starting out with one though and going from there, add a second one if needed.

Thanks for the input. No matter which light I get I planned on using 2. One per 2x2 section of the fuge.
