Has anyone else noticed some of the beautiful tanks around with lights exceptionally high off the water? Jason fox mentioned in his presentation his T5's are 2 feet off the water, I saw some pics of reef shops etc ..online that show a similar height. This will obviously help sellers to access the corals easily. But I can't help but wonder if the common 8"-12" is maybe too low for nothing? with similar or better coral color/health at a higher light, height. We reduce heat to the tank and increase spread.
