I recently got a new Red Sea reefer g2 200 tank, the dimensions are 23.6L x 22.6W x 20.9H.

The tank came with an AI prime 16HD light, from my research it might not be enough for this tank. It also makes an absurd fan noise like it’s been running overtime for 3 years.

I do have a Red Sea reef led G2 60 from my current tank (RS Max nano peninsula) I could use, but again that might not be strong enough.

Can anyone give me some recommendations on lights?
Red Sea would be nice as I have a full Red Sea system. Also heard kessi is a great brand. Ideally would want 1 light for the tank using a back hangar or I might be interested in hanging from the ceiling.

Thank you!

AI Prime is a 55 watt light, it might work on the tank for lower light corals. To give you perspective, I use AI Prime on a 15 gallon, I use a 100 watt light on my 32 gallon, and 150 watts on my 40 breeder. IMO you want at least 100-150 watts.

Nicrew, Vivarspectra, Smatfarm are all possibilities as lower cost options, you can even add another Prime, but ultimately IMO any led light in the 100-150 watt range will work

Mixed reef: Red Sea G2 115 or Kessil 360
SPS: Red Sea G2 170 or Kessil ap9x

Would you recommend the NooPsyche K7? Maybe just 1 would do the trick at 140 watts.

A single Nicrew Hyperreef Gen 2 200w will give full coverage and grow anything you can possibly want in those dimensions.

Thank you! I will check it out! You’d go with that over the noopsyche k7 3?

Yes, I think it's a grade above in quality. Just know that youll need to pickup the controller to be able to fully customize spectrum and ramp up and down.
