Hello everyone. Greetings from Ireland!
I am currently setting up my tank upgrade, and am in a bit of a pickle about lighting! My current 60cm cube (24inch) is being lit by an ai hydra 26hd at the BRS recommended height of 14 inches above the water.
For my new tank, I have;
- the ai hydra 26hd from the existing tank.
- 2 ai hydra 32s
The tank is 120x80x50 (48x30x20 in inches)

The rock scape is obviously not yet complete. I will be setting it up fully this weekend. It’ll be a mixed reef.

I’m wondering;
- how high she the lights be mounted for optimum par, keeping in mind the depth of the tank and how narrow it is. BRS recommends 14 inches for a tank 60x60x60(24x24x24)
- also how should they be spaced out ? I will be growing coral and attaching rocks to the back and right hand side panel.

Any insight at all would be highly valued! Thanks a million and more can be seen on my current tank build if ye wish!
