Hello, when cycling my tank for the first time how many hours a day should the lighting be on and off?Thanks.

I don’t turn my lights on at all when doing a cycle . I wait at least a month then I slowly turn lights on for short period of time and slowly add time over the weeks . Turning them on to soon will make a lot of unwanted algae
