Just purchased a RedSea Max E-170 with the Hydra 26HD light as part of the standard package and was wondering everyones thoughts on running it at night super low at night.

Only reason i'm asking is because the Hydra has a night time setting and was wondering how many people use it.

Good Points, Bad Points. New to the hobby and trying to learn as much as I can.

I usually run mine for 2 hour then goes to black. There will always be a debate as to weather fish can sleep or not with blues on. My fish are always happy. Except my clown that always attacks me she's a funny fish (pun intended)

I tried running running moon lights using my RKL and even turned down on the lowest setting, my fish would not sleep. I learned from going to the jetties that only a red light will not affect the fish.
